Solidarity Projets
The First Solidarity Challenges 2012-2018
In the early days of this website, most of the donation money was gathered via online or live poker challenges during which a portion of the winnings was donated. That way, we have regularly provided financial support to structures and projects involving persons with disabilities.
Actions ranged from financial support for local care centers to the active support of some personal development projects like the awesome Wheels & Arms project of Randal & Javier that we supported in Costa Rica back in 2014 & 2015 for instance.
Ukraine Emergency Support
Some members of The-Rounderd.net collective have physically been present in Ukraine from the second week after the 2022 invasion to organize logistics in the the chaos of war. We took this decision to respond to fiends’ calls for help in the early days of and weeks of the conflict and focused on helping/evacuating civilians while documenting some aspects of the happenings.
By teaming up with NGOs like the LUkraine association based in Luxembourg, emergency evacuation logistics deliveries of food and medicine continued in remote zones and funds are still raised beside public awareness through multiple peaceful actions.
Since 2024, The-Rounder.net collective mostly uses its extended international networks to help restructure lives of individuals by supporting social and professional integration programs and by facilitating the creation of opportunities for decent employment and housing solutions.
Civil Sea Rescue In The Mediterranean
The Mare*GO has been at sea under the supervision of Zusammenland, a Germany-based NGO, since early 2023. On top of the sometimes rough conditions and emergency situations the crews have to face at sea, there is a storm of constant legal complications, serious political pressure, and crazy logistical challenges while the aim is simple: save lives of humans in distress in the Mediterranean Sea.
Las Vegas Low-Income Communities
It is easy to slip into poverty in the U.S. and and it looks like it is even easier to do so in Las Vegas. Through our repeated and extended stays in Sin City, we got in touch with the Caridad organization providing affordable accommodation solutions, food pantries as well as social or cultural interventions aiming at raising awareness and money in order to support some of the weakest members of the Downtown Las Vegas neighborhoods.
