Leak Finder Mode: On
Poker education can be entertaining. There is a cool video playlist from a live seminar on Jake Coaching. Faraz calls it the Leak Finder Session. It came together with a group of new JAKA Coaching students where Faraz put them through various scenarios and tested their knowledge by asking them what they would do in each spot.
Every time you hear Faraz say, ‘What would you do in this spot?’, pause the video and type out your answer.
This exercise seems like a childish game but it is really nice because it’s very easy to watch a training video and be like, ‘Oh yeah, I would have done that.’
When you’re actually forced to write down the answer before you see the optimal solution presented to you, it exercises that same part of your brain that you’re going to be using when you’re actually max-tilt and in total distress at the table, forced to make a crucial decision in a tricky hand live on the spot.
